All in all, I’m just a designer with a high bar for craft. I’ve applied this sentiment to traditional branding, product design, marketing, art direction—you name it. My relationship with design has always rested on my taste. And I’ve found that whether intentionally simple or surprisingly joyful or with a healthy dose of cynicism, clarity leads to better outcomes—agnostic of medium.

I always remind myself to lead with intent, but to embrace the unintentional. As designers we can be quite productive at crafting a narrative, but it’s as humans that we connect with one another genuinely. Staying true to myself and simply talking to people like people can squash most barriers and leave us wide open to do our best work.

Lately I’ve been fortunate to both mentor young designers and instruct students, and nothing has brought me more satisfaction than enabling another person to recognize their strengths and put them to use to become better.

As I go forward I want to enrich people's lives, whether it’s though visual stimuli or through wonderful experiences. Let’s talk about how we can help each other.
